Michael
Gentry, D.V.M,
Veterinarian Emeritus
Dr. Gentry is a native Kentuckian who earned a B.S. in
Chemistry and Agriculture from Western Kentucky University.
He graduated from Auburn University in 1969. Dr. Gentry
practiced large animal medicine in Western Kentucky for a
year and a half before moving to Lexington, where he began
his small animal practice.

In 1989 Dr. Gentry,
along with his partner Dr. Todd Marcum purchased
Sheabel Animal Medical Center. Sheabel is a well
established Veterinary Practice with a long
standing reputation for providing excellence in
Pet Care in the Bluegrass Region. Through the
years, Sheabel has changed and expanded to keep
pace with the time and to anticipate changes
within the Veterinary community and the needs of
clients.
Dr. Gentry's long term vision has again been
realized through the developement of Bluegrass
Veterinary Specialists. Dr. Gentry began
planning for this in 2002. Now, BVS operates
inside Sheabel.
Dr. Gentry has been tireless in supporting the
community through his contributions to the
Lexington Humane Society, AA Emergency Clinic,
and the Lexington K-9 Unit. His contributions to
the Veterinary community have been significant.
Now retired, Dr. Gentry continues to contribute
in an advisory capacity to Sheabel. |

Dr. Todd Marcum
joined Dr. Michael Gentry at Sheabel in 1989
upon graduation from Tuskegee University School
of Veterinary Medicine. Dr. Marcum is a native
Kentuckian and has lived in Lexington for most
of his life. He graduated from Henry Clay High
School, attended The University of the South
(Sewanee) and graduated from the University of
Kentucky with a B.S. in Animal Science. |

Dr. Marcum has
three dogs, Welsh Terriers Jane and Jill and a
Golden Retriever, Lucy. He also has a cat named
Camy who avoids the dogs at all cost! |

Dr. Matt Lynch,
received a B.B.A from Ohio University. He earned
his DVM at The Ohio State University College of
Veterinary Medicine. |

Dr. Molly Hastings received her DVM at The
Ohio State University College Of Veterinary Medicine. She has a 3 year old dog,
Ella and 2 cats, Gabby and Camille.

Dr. Michelle Jude
is a native Kentuckian who earned a B.S. in Biology from Campbellsville
University. She worked as a technician at Sheabel before going to veterinary
school at Auburn University. She completed a 1 yeare internship at Kansas State
University. |
She is married to
Steve Jude, and they are expecting their first
child in July 2008. She has three dogs, named
X.L., Avey, and Max and one cat, Named Shea
Belle.
Dr. Jude is the only veterinarian on staff that
sees hamsters, guinea pigs, mice, ferrets, and
other rodents, in addition to dogs and cats. |

Dr. Clare Seagren,
attended veterinary school at Oklahoma State
University. She also graduated from the Chi
Institute of Chinese Veterinary Medicine in
April 2002 and received the degree of Certified
Veterinary Acupuncturist on the registers of the
Chi Institute and the China National Society of
Traditional Chinese Veterinary Medicine. Dr.
Seagren has a beautiful Border Collie-Corgi mix
named Jose. |
